During college, while studying Art History, I returned to my Catholic faith. That convergence became a uniquely beautiful gift—faith deepened my love of art, and art deepened my faith. Together, they gave me a profound appreciation for the richness of Catholic tradition—both in its beauty and its expression.
I’m Christina and I’m a photographer based in Colorado.
Gratia Via started as lighting practice and has evolved into a personal artistic project that is dedicated to capturing glimpses into authentic Catholic life. Its focus is to capture the individual and everyday lives of the faithful along with the beauty of the faith's traditions as they apply to each personal pilgrimage. My hope is to highlight the elegance of prayer and devotion that comes with the grace of discipline, dedication, and most importantly, perseverance.
This project continues to be humbling and incredibly inspiring. I consider it a privilege and an honor to be welcomed by people to photograph such an intimate part of their lives so that I can share them with others.
A heartfelt thank you to all the people who have allowed me to take and share their photos to capture deeply meaningful parts of their lives, as well as to all the priests and deacons who have welcomed me into their churches.
A very sincere thank you to my good friend, Deacon Josh, for letting me take his photos as I tried to mirror an idea I had for months. Without his help, I wouldn’t have this.
